Slow Cooker Hawaiian Pulled Pork

Slow Cooker Hawaiian Pulled Pork

Learn How To Make 7 Meals In 7 Minutes

This Slow Cooker Hawaiian Pulled Pork, aka Kalua Pig, is probably my favorite recipe for pork. It’s reminiscent of the pulled pork you’d enjoy at a luau in Hawaii- it’s salty, smokey, succulent and tender. I just can’t get enough! It’s delicious as is but I look forward to the scrambles and salads (among other things) that can be made with the leftovers. It really doesn’t get much better or simpler than this!
``Quick tip: Don’t add any liquid to the slow cooker...it contains enough fat and moisture already so extra water is unnecessary.`` ####Slow Cooker Hawaiian Pulled Pork Prep time: 5 minutes | Cook time: 10-12 hours | Serves: 6-8
####Ingredients: 5-6 pounds pork shoulder, boneless
1½-1¾ tablespoons Red Hawaiian salt
2-3 slices uncured bacon
####Directions: 1.) Rub the salt evenly over the pork and place in the slow cooker. Lay the bacon slices over the top and cook on Low for 10-12 hours or until the meat is tender. Take the meat out of the liquid to shred and remove any large pieces of fat. 2.) Save a few tablespoons of the juice in the slow cooker and use it to cook the cabbage, if using. Serve with your favorite sides.

Feel great and remember to enjoy your health!
