There was a time when I was on the hunt for the perfect mojito. The best one I’ve ever had was in Hawaii and after taking my first sip, I knew that I had to create one just like it since I’m unable to fly to Hawaii whenever I’m in the mood for a mojito…Honestly, I prefer to make them at home now because I can use natural sweeteners instead of cane sugar and I can make sure they have proper mint flavor. It’s such a bummer to pay $8+ for a drink that’s not minty enough! Traditionally, mojitos are made with white rum, but because I usually have vodka on hand, I just use that. I recommend giving this tasty drink a try, with alcohol or not! <center> ``Quick tip: Be sure to muddle the mint a lot for stronger mint flavor!`` ####Mojito Prep time: 10 minutes | Serves: 1 </center> ####<b>Ingredients:</b> 10-12 mint leaves<br> ½ lime, juiced<br> Honey or liquid stevia, to taste (dissolve honey in 1-2 tablespoons of water to make a syrup)<br> 1½ oz. gluten-free vodka<br> Sparkling water, as needed<br> Lime wedges, for garnish<br> Ice, as needed<br> ####<b>Directions:</b> 1.) In the bottom of a cocktail shaker, muddle the mint leaves with the lime juice and honey syrup, or stevia if using. Add ice, and then shake with gluten-free vodka. Top with sparkling water and garnish with a lime wedge, if desired.
